Salah satu destinasi wisata alam di Bali, yakni Pantai Kelingking di Pulau Nusa Penida, baru-baru ini menjadi perhatian setelah sempat mengalami kebakaran. Konon, kebakaran itu disebabkan oleh puntung rokok pengunjung yang dibuang dalam kondisi masih menyala.
Menurut gambar yang tersiar di media sosial, Pantai Kelingking memang tampak begitu eksotis dengan bukit yang menjorok ke laut yang biru nan jernih.
Dirangkum dari berbagai sumber, tak diketahui pasti asal mula penamaan Pantai Kelingking ini. Namun, warga setempat di Dusun Bunga Mekar, Desa Karang Dawa, Kecamatan Nusa Penida, Kabupaten Klungkung, menyebutnya dengan Pantai Karang Dawa.
Bukit yang berbentuk bak dinosaurus T-rex itu menjulang tinggi, sehingga cukup sulit dijangkau bagi para pengunjung. Meski begitu, kesulitan menjangkau puncak bukit Pantai Kelingking tentu akan terbayar dengan pesona lautan biru yang tak berbatas.
Perjalanan menuju ujung Pantai Kelingking juga menjadi rekomendasi yang terbaik bagi para pecinta alam yang hobi trekking dan hiking, karena medannya yang terjal dan menantang.
Untuk dapat sampai di lokasi Pantai Kelingking, pengunjung yang berasal dari Bali dapat menuju Pulau Nusa Penida melalui jalur laut, lewat dermaga yang ada di Pantai Sanur, Serangan atau Padang Bai.
Perjalanan dari dermaga tersebut memakan waktu sekitar 35-40 menit. Sesampainya di dermaga tujuan, pengunjung masih harus melakukan perjalanan darat sekitar 45 menit untuk sampai di titik lokasi, bisa dengan menyewa motor atau mobil plus sopir.
